The photo archives are off to Bancroft Library!
It took us 11 years, but today the last batch of materials shipped off to the Bancroft Library at UC Berkeley! After the paper archives shipped off this time last year, we have spent this past year scanning approximately the 4,000 slides and 7,000 prints in our photo binders. This also involved going through all of the binders, removing any duplicates and creating new binders to hold the duplicates (that we will keep.) We also organized by year 14,000+ photos that only exist in digital form and copied them to a hard drive that was included in the shipment.
Next up we will be actively pursuing places to preserve Frank’s oil paintings and films and all of the LUVeR audio tapes and CDs.
